In the summer of 2017, British Columbia was ravaged by a record-breaking 10 week state of emergency, with wildfires destroying homes and endangering the lives of both citizens and their pets. With her years of animal disaster rescue, including Hurricane Katrina, Willow Eyford, of Quesnel, BC borrowed an Aquarius motorhome, where she lived for 7 weeks, as she set up a temporary animal shelter in the local fairground.
